Sectionly ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Sectionly B2B Wholesale application (the "App") available on the Shopify App Store. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when merchants and their customers interact with the App.

1. Information We Collect

From Merchants (App Users)

• Shopify Store Data: Store name, domain, and email address provided through the Shopify OAuth process.
• Product Data: Product titles, images, and variant information for products marked as B2B.
• App Settings: Configuration preferences such as notification email, form fields, and hide-price settings.

From Customers (Storefront Visitors)

• Inquiry Form Submissions: Name, email address, phone number (if provided), product selections, quantities, and any custom field data submitted through the B2B inquiry form.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide and operate the App's core functionality, including inquiry management and draft order creation.
• To send email notifications to merchants about new inquiries.
• To display and manage B2B product settings within the Shopify admin.
• To improve and maintain the App's performance and reliability.

3. Data Storage and Security

We store data using industry-standard cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Inquiry data and app settings are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

• Shopify: Platform integration for store data, product management, and draft orders.
• Supabase: Database hosting and management.
• Resend: Transactional email delivery for inquiry notifications.

Each service has its own privacy policy governing data handling.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties. Data is only shared with the third-party service providers listed above, solely for the purpose of operating the App.

6. Data Retention

We retain merchant data and inquiry records for as long as the App is installed on the merchant's store. When a merchant uninstalls the App, we retain data for up to 30 days to allow for re-installation, after which it is permanently deleted.

7. GDPR and Data Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
• Restrict or object to the processing of your data.
• Request data portability.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

We comply with Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks for customer data requests, customer data erasure, and shop data erasure.

8. Cookies

The App does not set any cookies on storefront visitors' browsers. Within the Shopify admin, standard session cookies are used as part of Shopify's embedded app framework.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
